REGISTERED DENTAL ASSISTANT
Donna was born and raised in Mesquite, and currently resides in Dallas. After graduation from high school, Donna originally wanted to pursue a degree in elementary education, but she quickly realized that a career in general dentistry would allow her to interact with people of all ages.
Donna’s passion is building relationships with patients and making them feel comfortable while receiving dental treatment. Donna’s uncanny memory of life details allows her to talk to the patients during treatment so they forget they are even having dental treatment.
She received her dental assisting certificate from the El Centro Dental Assisting Program and became a registered dental assistant so she can perform four-handed instrument transfer, take X-rays, and has learned the use of materials and instruments for endodontics, restorative, crown/bridge, and surgery.
After she obtained her assisting certificate, Donna joined the practice of Dr. Tom W. Watson, where she met Dr. Bill who was an associate dentist at that time. Dr. Bill and Donna worked together for 13 years prior to Dr. Bill opening Whitley Family Dental.
After Dr. Tom passed away, Donna joined Whitley Family Dental, bringing with her 30 years of dental assisting experience. Donna is a registered dental assistant in the State of Texas and is currently certified by the American Heart Association in CPR basic life support with automated external defibrillator.
In her free time, Donna enjoys crafting and watching football, but her greatest joy is spending time with her husband of 20 years, Donnie, her four children, and her nine grandchildren.
